DeWayne Howard has served over 10 years as a church planter/pastor. He and his family certainly know the ups and the downs of planting a new church with little to no resources in place.

While serving as Pastor/Church Planter at New Vision Church in Athens, Tennessee, the church planted 2 other churches in nearby Etowah, Tennessee to reach those that would not attend an already established church.

Currently, he and his family are planting Bridges of Hope Fellowship in McMinnville, Tennessee.  This plant is 5 years old and has already built their first facility of 5,400 square feet.  They have seen over 100 people come to faith in Christ, baptized, and being taught.

 

DeWayne is available to church planters for consultation in a variety of areas that planters face in starting a new church. Consulting is available for worship, facilities, outreach, evangelism, small groups, technology, etc.

 

DeWayne also serves church planters through the assessment process to identify the necessary behaviors and traits to becoming an effective church planter. He currently is contracted to do assessments for the Church Planting team of the Tennessee Baptist Convention. However, he is available to conduct independent assessments for those not affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
