Last Sunday, I received a phone call from Hugh Turner, a church member, telling me that he saw on the news where Gospel Music Legend, Dottie Rambo, had died from injuries sustained in a tour bus accident.  My heart sank within me.  Ms. Dottie was a great friend and will be sadly missed.Dottie Rambo

Dottie Rambo is a lady who allowed God to use her to make a faith mark on this world in many ways.  She was a great influence on anyone in the music industry, in every genre.  I will cherish every moment spent with her.  Many will remember that she was at Bridges of Hope Fellowship for a concert on Feb. 24th of this year.  I'm glad I made time for her.  That concert was the highlite of many.  She didn't just sing, but she ministered to the body of Christ.  Thanks Dottie!

Here's the report posted on her booking agent's website:

Highway patrol information lists Larry, his wife Judy, and their children.. 3 year old Pierce and 8 year old Christian as in moderate condition. 62 year old bus driver, Ronnie Meadows and Dottie's product manger/webmaster, 22 year old Chris Barnes sustained serious injuries. Dottie was pronounced dead on the scene.. the injured were taken to St Johns Hospital in Springfield, MO.

Rambo's booking agent.. Beckie Simmons (BSA Agency) told reporters: "She was a giant in the gospel music industry." Dottie was enroute from Illinois to Texas. She was to have appeared today at the Fountain Of Life Church in North Richland Hills with Lulu Roman and Naomi Sego, as part of the "Golden Girls of Gospel Music Tour." Dottie Rambo was 74.

Dottie, we will miss you!  However, I'm sure that you are now teaching angels how to sing.  We'll see you soon!
